Introducing two 8” models to the new Tourus series of plastic active loudspeakers. Tourus-AX8 and the USB/Bluetooth enabled Tourus-AX8-MBT.
Using the same design philosophy as the larger models in the series they have durable ABS plastic cabinets with handles, rigging points and strong full-face steel grilles to protect the custom Wharfedale Pro drivers and electronics inside.
Headline specifications which make Tourus 8” models stand out from the crowd are the 250 watts of continuous ouput power and the use of a 1.75” HF compression driver.
As with other models of Tourus, the system is Class D bi-amplified and uses convection cooling to ensure audio clarity and long term reliability.
The Tourus-AX8-MBT model also brings Bluetooth connectivity, USB thumbdrive input and TWS modes, allowing to wire-free stereo pairing.
Tourus 8” models are also a perfect partner for the T-Sub-AX15B 15" active subwoofer
With RCA, Bluetooth, XLR and 6.3 mm jack, and USB inputs, Tourus 8” models are ready for action.

Wharfedale PRO
85 Jahre Innovation und Tradition. 1932 wurde Wharfedale von Gilbert Briggs gegründet, der die ersten Lautsprecher im Keller seines Hauses in Ilkley, Südengland, entwickelte. Dieses beschauliche Städtchen wurde zur Geburtsstätte einer der berühmtesten Lautsprecherhersteller weltweit; einem Synonym für Qualität und Innovation! Briggs war ein Tüftler und Innovator. Zahlreiche Erfindungen, wie zum Beispiel die Frequenzweiche oder der keramische Magnet, gehen auf Briggs zurück. An seinen Büchern orientierten sich spätere Legenden wie Leo Fender.
Seit 1996 ist Wharfedale Mitglied der International Audio Group, IAG, zu der unter anderem auch die Traditionsmarken Quad, Mission und Audiolab zählen.
